Privacy policy

Your statements

Tallyline reads PDF statements entirely inside your web browser. The file, its account numbers and its transactions are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. Closing the page discards them.

When you leave for checkout, the converted transactions are kept in your browser's session storage so they're still on the page when you return. That storage belongs to your browser tab and is cleared when the tab closes or the transactions are restored.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Stripe shares with us the payment amount, your email address and the last four digits of your card, which we use to provide credits, answer support requests and issue refunds. See Stripe's privacy policy.

If you arrived from an ad or a tagged link, the ad's click ID and campaign tags are attached to your payment so we know which ads lead to purchases. They are kept only in your browser tab until checkout and are never shared with ad networks by a script on this site.

Your credit key is stored in your browser's local storage. When you use a credit, your browser sends the key and the number of statements to our server. Nothing about the statements themselves is sent.

Usage information

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. We may count anonymous events, such as how many conversions balanced, to improve the reader. These counts contain no statement content.
